Chryss carr - Chair

Chryss Carr is a uniquely accomplished music executive with more than 30 years in the industry, including two decades working closely with First Nations artists and communities. She has built a reputation for long-term, trust-based relationships in Arnhem Land and the Top End, developed through her work with artists including Dr G. Yunupingu (Gurrumul), Rrawun Maymurru, Baker Boy and currently with a new generation of emerging voices.

As founder of AUM Chryss has played a key role in nurturing and elevating First Nations talent on national stages, with a strong emphasis on cultural integrity and artist agency.

Chryss brings to NT Dance Company a decade of experience on the board of the Wantok Musik Foundation, supporting the legacy and ongoing development of leading First Nations artists. As Chair, Chryss brings strategic leadership grounded in cultural respect, collaboration and lived experience of the region’s artistic communities.

Sarah hicks

Proudly from Darwin, Sarah is an avid supporter of Gary’s vision and the growth of the Company, having served on the Board for the past three years. Sarah is a volunteer board member with several other organisations, bringing her 20 years of global experience supporting government, multi-national companies and medium-sized businesses as a strategy and growth consultant. Currently based in Sydney, Sarah’s work takes her across Australia- in particular to regional and remote areas of the country, to help build sustainable businesses and services – which is a particular passion. Sarah leads the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee for the Board of the Gary Lang NT Dance Company.

Peter tuckey

Peter is a commercial development consultant for major infrastructure projects and aviation. He works in an advisory role with major airports such as Sydney Airport as well as infrastructure entities such as Sydney Water. Over the years, Peter has held various board positions with arts and community organisations.

Peter is a dance aficionado and brings to GLNTDC a thirst, respect and appreciation of dance in all its forms and languages from a learned audience perspective.
