The Other Side of Me features at Dance X Festival Melbourne

The Other Side of Me by Gary Lang NT Dance Company, produced by BlakDance, will be presented as part of The Australian Ballet’s DanceX Festival. Be sure to get your tickets for opening night, Wednesday 15th October, 6pm at Arts Centre Melbourne, Fairfax Theatre.

Choreographed by Larrakia man Gary Lang, this international, cross-cultural collaboration with Northumbria University (UK) shares the tragedy of Stolen Generations through the true story of an Aboriginal man stranded between two families, continents and cultures - sharing the little known aspect of Stolen Generations, those adopted into internationally based families.

An achingly intimate dance duet of a man’s struggle with identity, loss and otherness and the redemptive beauty of singing his spirit home.
